Product Give Away- 2 weeks

I become more aware of my hair everyday as it ages and settles into locking. I can move it more and it is growing. Although at this stage everyone thinks that I just have really small braids with extensions added. I went back into my closet and saw all the products that I now feel comfortable parting with. I called all my girls and associates and asked around to see who would like what. I figured that some things are saleable and others can be used, just not by me. So many curling irons and straightening irons with a attached brushes for drying. Balms, moouse and shampoos and conditioners that will just go to waste sitting inside the closet. Although it will be a sad thing to give up my brush. I loved to use that brush.

If it has to be done then so be it.

After two weeks now, I have experienced itching, more itching, burning itching LOL.
Love of my locs and dislike for them also.
Stupid questions and stares and expressions of being totally confused, like what is that braids or no? But I still feel good in my choice and I look forward to them settling where I can let and sun baked the top of my head in the summer time with my wind blowing.

So the question is, what can I keep for later use?
Just oils for mixing?

The combs and brushes will have to go out.

But what else?

setting lotions are good to keep for the sake of setting your locks. I been blow drying my hair, it's not warm enough for me to wash and go.

I do plan to keep the leave in conditioners for future use. I always used them in place of setting lotions. I use the blow dryer too on a low setting. Even if I spray my hair with water, I still blow dry it before leaving the house.

Your hair looks great. after almost a year of being locked, everyone thinks I have micro braids with extensions. My recommendation is to keep your hair products. You will be able to use them later. Brushes, make great cleaning tools or you could use them for up-dos later on...

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have posted some new pictures when you get a chance to visit again!

As far as the hair products, I have cabinet full and I plan to toss them all in the garbage. I don't really have anyone to give them to... but I may give them to a women's shelter. I m so glad not to have a comb or a brush anymore. I am keeping my leave in conditioner for later.

I feel you on the itchies... I had it pretty bad the first couple of weeks. At some point it does go away. To cope, I just banded my hair and let the shower massage my scalp!

Thanks everyone, the scalp was an issue at first. Now their isn't any itching anymore. How ever I would like some more locking to increase my styling options a little bit.
I just sit, breath, wait and grow. :-)

Your locks look so pretty!!
Have you ever tried Qhemet products? she has a teatree pomade for itchy scalp that is so soothing...jojoba oil mixed in with peppermint and rosemary is also great for a dry itchy scalp...
